What Our Riders Say

Real feedback from riders who’ve trained with us and transformed their performance.

Eddie Dunbar
“Jon has been a constant in my cycling journey since I was a teenager—first working with him back in 2014 when I was riding for NFTO. Even then, he had a clear vision of what it took to make it at the top, and over the years, that’s never changed. From Axeon to Aqua Blue, Team Sky, Ineos, and now Jayco, I’ve always valued his input.”
“What makes Jon different is how well he understands the rider—not just the numbers, but the person behind them. He knows when to push, when to hold back, and how to tailor a plan that works in the real world, not just on paper. He’s played a key role in helping me improve my threshold, manage training loads, and sharpen the specific areas I need to be competitive at the WorldTour level.”
“More than anything, Jon genuinely cares. That’s rare. He’s not just a coach; he’s someone I trust to help guide me through the demands of the sport, and bring the best out of me when it matters most.”

Before working with Jon, I didn’t realise just how crucial it is to manage and overcome setbacks like illness, a natural part of training that I used to underestimate. With his help and structure, I’ve not only built resilience to this but also seen huge improvements to performance, increasing my ftp by 55 watts. I’d highly recommend Jon to anyone looking for a coach who genuinely understands both the physical and mental challenges of bike racing.

Working with Jon this year has been a total game changer.
It finally feels like all the hard work I’ve put in over the past two years is paying off — and hopefully, this is just the beginning.
Jon’s coaching style is results-driven and completely tailored. Instead of relying on generic Zwift workouts or traditional intervals, he built a program specific to me. The sessions targeted my weaknesses and brought noticeable improvements, while the workouts focused on my strengths made those areas even stronger.
This has easily been my best season yet — by a long shot.
I won two National B races, having never won one before, and finished on the podium in five consecutive races. I also cracked the top 20 at Nationals, something I didn’t think was even possible in previous years. On top of that, I placed top 10 at the Rás Tailteann in May — a result I'm incredibly proud of.
I’d recommend Jon to anyone who’s serious about getting the best out of themselves — whether you’re chasing race wins, pushing for an elite license, or simply looking for real, measurable improvements across the board.

“As someone with a demanding city job and a busy family life, I never thought I’d be able to make the kind of progress I’ve made with Jon’s coaching. But year after year, I’ve gone from strength to strength—smashing personal bests and completing ultra-distance events I once thought were out of reach.”
“Jon builds training that works around real life. Every session is smart, purposeful, and designed to fit—not overwhelm. He’s helped me not just improve, but actually surpass my expectations, and I know there’s still more to come. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.”

Dave Nolan
“I’ve been working with Jon since 2011, and year after year, he’s helped me get stronger, faster, and more focused—not just as a cyclist, but as someone balancing work, life, and health. Jon’s training always fits around my job and lifestyle, and it’s consistently helped me improve, no matter the challenges.”
“Even after two heart operations, Jon knew exactly how to guide my comeback. This season has been my best yet in terms of power and time trial performance. That doesn’t happen by accident—it’s down to his deep knowledge, thoughtful approach, and the way he makes every session count. I trust him completely, and I honestly wouldn’t want to be coached by anyone else.”

Before being coached by Jon I was struggling with efforts at the end of races, now in sessions the efforts are always at the very end which has increased repeatability and decreased power drop off in the final stages of sessions or races, I would recommend Jon because his scientific approach to coaching gives you more understanding about the training youre doing and everything around the zones and sessions is very precise.

Whether you’re a professional cyclist or someone chasing a personal goal, Jon will help you get there with smart, tailored training and a genuine passion for your success.
